Why do I need to upload to Google
Base?
Google is the leading search engine
used by people searching the internet. This means that
when someone is looking to buy a product or find a service, most
often the first place they go is Google. By
uploading your information to Google Base, you make your
products easier to find and easier to buy.
Your information will be in Google Base and may also end up in
Google, Froogle, and Google Maps, but Google does not guarantee
where your information will be made available to Internet
searchers. However, working with Gbase Manager on your
initial setup can help increase your chances of having your
information show up in multiple Google arenas. In
addition to driving a customer to your website, you can make
your products available for purchase right on Google Base.
The Google Checkout feature is a great option for businesses
that do not have an existing shopping cart or other method of
purchase on the Internet.
How Much Does Google Base cost?
There is no charge for you to
upload your own information into Google Base. However, effective use of Google
Base requires correct attribute definition and format so
potential searchers can find your information. More
importantly, most information provided to Google Base expires so
your information must be uploaded on a continuing basis.
What can I upload to Google Base?
Almost
anything can be posted to Google Base, even information
you do not have on a website. Exceptions are those items
identified by Google's program policies and editorial
guidelines. Gbase manager keeps up to date on Google's
policies and will flag your information when it does not meet
their posting criteria.
How do I upload to Google Base?
Individual
items can be uploaded using Google Base's web form. If you
have ten or more items, you can bulk upload this information.
If you have hundreds of items you would like to upload, we
recommend using one of our Gbase Manager plans. The
services provided by Gbase Manager make
the Google Base data identification and submission process
easier. An affordable one-time setup fee and several
cost-effective plans from which to select make Gbase Manager the
perfect option for small businesses that want an easy way to
help people find them on the Internet.
How often do I need to
upload to Google Base?
Google Base recommends uploading
your information any time you add new items, items are deleted,
or items become outdated. Most items will expire every 30
days, so at a minimum you must upload once a month to keep your
information active. Some items expire sooner than 30 days,
including things like housing, job postings, and other
time sensitive items.. You can bulk upload as often as
once a day. Gbase Manager keeps up to date on expiration dates
and will notify you if expiration dates change and your current
Gbase Manager plan does not support the new expiration dates. |
